Last week, sep28thu, a typhoon locally tagged as 'Milenyo' swept thru Luzon. MetroManila was directly hit and toppled towering billboards on Edsa and South Luzon Expressway. Some unfortunate people died and others were badly injured. Luzon was in total blackout after a few minutes of the 'first wave' - strong winds blasting from northwest. And as of today, a considerable number of barangays are still without electricity.

Last Saturday we (family with 2 little boys) got the chance to go out of the house and escape the misery brought about by having no electricity and attended a party where there is power courtesy of generators. Driving along SLEX foot by foot (heavy traffic as usual) and equipped with my A40, I took the chance to 'document' the "melted billboards". It was late noon so pardon the quality and note that these pics were taken from the driver's seat with my eyes on the car in front of ours. I hope you get the idea from this series of pics.

<- the big nasty one that sandwiched a bus
<- and another future accident.

btw, my A40 is on its 9000+ shot (about 4yrs old) and its already failing when in zoom mode so I can only use it on its shortest focal length nowadays :P
